David F. Stephens is the Pastor/Teacher of Greater Bellevue Baptist Church of Macon, Georgia. His explosive, energetic, and enthusiastic style of preaching has informed, instructed, and inspired many across this nation to strengthen their walk with Christ. He is an emerging influential leader challenging today's generation to "Come to Christ."
David F. Stephens, Sr. is a native of Meridian, Mississippi and is the son of David and Jacqueline Stephens. He attended the private school of St. Patrick’s Catholic School and is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School. Stephens received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological
Engineering with a specialty in Medicine from Mississippi State University. In 2007, he received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian College in Jacksonville, FL.
On February 10, 2002, the Lord directed his path to Pleasant Ridge MB Church where he served as pastor. His pastoral accomplishments included, but not limited to: church membership tripled, church finance increased by 42%, purchased 60 acres of land, instituted over 16 various ministries, established annual citywide Drug Awareness program, implemented the David F. Stephens Scholarship fund, established “The Call to Worship” Radio Broadcast, instituted foreign missions ministry, and erected a $600,000 sanctuary and much more.
After faithfully serving at Pleasant Ridge, the Lord favored Dr. Stephens, in December 2007, to become the Pastor/Teacher of Greater Bellevue Baptist Church located in Macon Georgia. In a short time, the Lord has added unto the church physical, spiritually, and financially under his administration.
The faithfulness of his preaching has taken Dr. Stephens across the world to share in state and national
conferences, conventions, seminars, revivals, and preaching engagements. He has served as the 3rd
V. President, President of Foreign Missions, and Chairman of Late Night of the Northeast MS Baptist State Convention and Congress of Christian Education. The Lord also granted the opportunity to study abroad and preach the Gospel in Italy (Milan) and Greece (Athens, Meteora, Delphi, Thessalonika, Neapolis, Berea,
Philippi, and Corinth) in 2004. In 2005, Dr. Stephens was the featured preacher in Atlanta, GA for the Home Mission Board of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. In 2006, guest preacher in Mobile, AL for the Southwest Region Annual Youth Conference of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Since 2006,
Dr. Stephens has traveled to Port Harcourt, Nigeria and performed evangelistic missions in Lagos, Nigeria and Kenya, Africa. |
